Filmzen International Film Competition

We seek out films that are pushing the limits of cinema at the Filmzen International Film Competition. Our mission is to stand up for filmmakers with a distinct vision and to support them by displaying their work to a broad audience. In the age of limitless material, independent filmmakers are finding it more and more difficult to gain exposure. For this reason, our goal is to carefully evaluate and choose a diverse selection of movies to share with the indie film community.

We are planning an award ceremony as part of the festival, along with a brief Q&A, where the honoured filmmakers will have the opportunity to respond to questions from the audience regarding their work.

Each year, the coveted 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑭𝒊𝒍𝒎𝒊𝒄 𝑮𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒖𝒔 𝑨𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒅 recipients will be revealed. All of the monthly winners over the course of a year will be eligible to be nominees and compete against one another in this process to be named the ultimate winner of the winners. These winners' names will be listed on our Festival website each year.
